About this organ

This organ is built from orchestral samples from the UK and USA, and includes a high quality Steinway Model B grand piano, as well as instruments not normally found in an orchestra.

The original concept behind this organ was to try see how successful the use of the base technology might be on non-pipe organ samples, and was supposed to be a bit of fun!

Our users have requested that we bring this 'organ' back, so we have. This is very much a work in progress, and any suggestions by users on how we might improve this are always welcome. In particular, we would like to thank Alex McAllister for his patience when sampling his Fender Stratocaster, which features in the solo section of this instrument.

Steinway uses 4 separate samples per note and all hammer and pedal noise has also been sampled for increased authenticity. We believe is the best software Steinway available anywhere today!

As this is a work in progress, we are offering this organ at a significantly reduced cost, until we have completed this disposition. Please note, we have NOT artificially straightened out the tuning of the guitar, and left the guitar as tuned at time of sampling.

16 and 24 bit Stereo and 5.1 surround sound. Ranks recorded between 2016 and 2018, augmented with additional new samples 2019.

Tuning 440Hz

Donations and payments

This company is run and operated by volunteers, who take no salary or drawings of any kind. Donations and small charges for some sample sets, allow us to continue to maintain this software, provide equipment and helps cover the costs of new sample set production. Sample sets can be quite expensive to produce in terms of time, money and patience, however we keep these costs to a minimum so that as much as possible from proceeds is available to be donated to the recipient organ fund.

Naturally, we also ensure a large proportion of the proceeds from sample sets, goes back to support that organ. In some cases this is 100% of the proceeds.

All surplus proceeds will be split equally between all organ funds we are currently supporting, on an annual basis
